Tacora | Gran Reserva

VINTAGE | 2010

REGION | Colchagua Valley, Chile

VARIETIES | Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (20%) Carmenere (20%)

VINIFICATION AND AGING | Pre-fermentative cold maceration for 5 days, with alcoholic fermentation occurring at 27-29°C to better extract polyphenols from the wine. Post-fermentative maceration for 2 to 3 weeks. Aged in French oak for 10 to 12 months.

TASTING NOTES | Appearance is a deep dark ruby red with intense purple notes. Black  fruits,  fig,  currants  and  very light   mint  aromas  combine  with  a hint  of  flowers and smoked  aromas  that  set  the  first  layer. The   mocha,  coffee,  vanilla and  cedar from a well seasoned   and   balanced  oak rounds  the  wine with an  attractive nose. Great structure, the right amount of  tannins,  alcohol,  acidity  and   fruit provides  balance with  long a finish.

PAIRING | Spicy, well-seasoned white meats, red meats, wild game and vegetables.
