Bodegas Resalte | Gran Resalte
REGION | Rinera del Duero
VARIETIES | Tempranillo from vineyards that have been carefully selected over the years and which average more than 80 – 100 years of age. They have very low yields, but extraordinary quality.
VINIFICATION AND AGING | For our Gran Resalte, we search for the best wood from the best forests and the most exclusive cooperages to obtain a more complex, elegant wine, while conserving its natural freshness. Gran Resalte has been aged for at least 24 months in fine grain French oak, with periodical controls and tastings. It then has a 20 month stay in the bottle to reach the final balance.
TASTING NOTES | The wine exhibits a deep garnet color, its dense tears color the glass. The aroma is fine, complex, deep and intense on the nose, with aromas of flowers, violets, red berries, liquorice and sweet spices along with mineral notes an truffles. On the palate it is meaty and powerful while smooth and velvety, with sweet, balanced tannins, the wine unfolds to reveal a harmonized integration of fruit and wood, with the latter prevailing. Fruit finish of berries and red liquorice.
PAIRING | The wine pairs well with red roasted meat, big game and other red meat dishes.
