One of my biggest problems is that I enjoy my work immensely. This weekend was a glorious one not only in terms of weather but I was at the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City. I was surrounded by beautiful people, food, and great jazz as we showcased the Resalte wines. The people kept on coming back as the lines in front of our stand grew. We introduced Resalte Vendimia Seleccionada, Resalte Crianza, and Resalte Expresion all 100% Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero in Spain.

Resalte Vendimia Seleccionada:

This wine scored 90 points Robert Parker and comes from the highest area in the region 1000 meters above sea level. It ages for 10 months in 500 liter new French oak battels. To achieve its unique, profile the vineyard has developed a combination of different toasting’s so the wood doesn’t overpower the fruit.

Resalte Crianza:

This Crianza scored 91 points Robert Parker and is the reference point for the winery. It comes from vineyards of 30 years or older. It ages for at least 14 months in 80% French 20% American oak barrels. It has a complexity of dark fruit flavors, black liquorice, cherries, blackberries that are well rounded from tis time in the barrel.

Resalte Expresion:

Resalte Expresion not only received a Gold Medal it also received 98 points from Decanter World Wine Awards. This is the highest score given by Decanter and the people agreed that they were the best wines in the show. The Expresion is a very limited production that is only produced in excellent vintages. Coming from vineyards 40 years or older it ages in 90% French 10 % American New Oak Barrels for 18 months. These barrels are selected from the best cooperages and periodical racking helps clean and oxygenate the wine for enhanced complexity and harmony.
