Bodegas Resalte | Vendimia Seleccionada

VINTAGE | 2014

REGION | Ribera del Duero

VARIETIES |  Tempranillo – Coming from plots at almost 1000 meters above sea level, the highest area in the Ribera

VINIFICATION AND AGING |  It ages for at least 10 months in 500 liters new French oak barrels with different toasting’s. After several years of tests and experiments, we found out this was the ideal volume for the vineyard to keep expressing without wood overpowering the flavor of the fruit.

TASTING NOTES |  The wine exhibits a blue-hued red color with a violet rim. The aroma is sharp, intense and fresh with a marked fruit character and a background of oak aromas. On the palate it is round, rich, fresh, balanced, flavorsome and persistent.

The 2014 Vendimia Seleccionada has a fruit-driven nose, quit open and aromatic, with notes of black fruit, earth and dark spices, quit harmonious and integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with very vine tannins and good freshness. It matured in 500-liter oak barrels to keep the fruit and freshness. Soft and silky, quite impressive.
